The last few weeks have been very busy for engagement photography around the National Mall in Washington, DC. With the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, and Lincoln Memorial as backdrops, couples from all over the country come to Washington, DC to have their engagement photos taken.
The weather this time of year is pot luck. I had a nice sunny day for one engagement shoot, I had cold and wind for another, and SNOW for the third during the Cherry Blossom Festival. The one couple that was from Houston, TX wanted their photos taken during the Cherry Blossom Festival. I explained to them that we would have to start bright and early to beat the crowds. So the day of the shoot it was snowing. Because they were only in town for the day, there was no chance to reschedule. You can probably tell by some of the photos below which couple it was. You can see snow in her hair which actually looked quite nice. As the morning rolled on the sun did come out and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom.
