Secretary Albright and Justice Ginsburg

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Secretary Madeleine Albright and Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg during a series of recent photo shoots for the The Washington Post's Home section. I took pictures of some of their personal belongings that had special meaning to them. See the entire article by clicking the title above.

Crazy about the Washington Capitals

Brad and Tina Seltzer are crazy about the Washington Capitals hockey team. I had the pleasure to meet them and take their photograph in their basement that they have converted into a small hockey rink. As Brad says in the Washington Post Feels Like Home article, "it is to retreat to our substitute arena with the sights and sounds of a live game at Verizon Center. Invite a few friends over, grab a couple of beers, turn on the game, and it's the next best thing to being there. Of course, it's always more fun when the game is exciting, we're all cheering and the Capitals win. But win or lose, we can always count on closer bathrooms and better concessions." Donna Brazile

What a wonderful lady! I had the pleasure to meet Donna last Sunday to take her photograph for today's Feels Like Home article in The Washington Post. She is from New Orleans and most of her family was still living there when Katrina struck. It was the first time I had met someone who had personal involvement with family members living through that nightmare. She sent most of her furniture from her DC townhouse down to her relatives who had lost everything after Katrina.

What a delightful and good hearted woman. I could have sat and talked with her all day.
