Holiday / Christmas Card Photographs on the Mall | Washington, DC Photographer

I have received a lot of inquiries this year for couples and families to have their picture taken around the National Mall area for their annual Christmas / Holiday Card.  It makes for a fun and unique card and shows off our beautiful city of Washington, DC.

This couple is from Michigan, and moved here just recently.  They wanted to show everyone themselves in their new home.

Anniversary Photographs

I had the pleasure of photographing Katie and Runjit's wedding a couple of years ago.  We have a standing appointment to do a quick photo shoot every year on their anniversary.  This year we picked to do the shoot in Vienna, VA along the Washington & Old Dominion Railroad Regional Park by Church Street.  Within a block you have a large mural, a train station, and the Historic Freeman House.

One Year Anniversary Photographs in Georgetown - Washington, DC Photographer

Chris and Josh were married last year on a tropical island.  Their wedding photographer did an okay job, but they wanted some really nice photos of the two of them.  They live out of town currently, but are from the Washington, DC area and they were in town for a few days and wanted the photographs to have a DC theme to them.  We discussed a few ideas and decided on Georgetown as our backdrop.  Even though I have been a photographer in the Washington, DC area for a number of years, I haven't done a lot of photography in Georgetown.

We walked around Georgetown for about 90 minutes and just stopping at places that had interesting light or overall character that we thought would make for a nice portrait.  Chis and Josh are a wonderful couple, they were a pleasure to spend some time with, and Georgetown provided a wonderful environment for our pictures.

Carly and Tim Wedding Portraits at the Jefferson Memorial

Carly and Tim were married earlier in the day on this rainy day in September here in the Washington, DC area. They are both in the military and were only going to be in town a short while.  This was a week in Washington where it rained for five days straight and it was raining pretty hard on this  day.  But since it was their wedding day and we might not have a chance to do it again while they were in town we decided to roll the dice and go down to the Jefferson Memorial and take some photographs.

Other than a few sprinkles, we got pretty lucky with the weather.  On the plus side, the weather also kept the tourists away.  The photographs turned out great and they were able to get some nice photographs taken on their wedding day.  Oh by the way, as soon as I got into my car the clouds opened up and it poured.
