Northern VA Senior Portrait Sessions

Senior portrait sessions are really enjoyable for a portrait photographer.  The seniors are usually very enthusiastic and excited about the photo shoot.  We discuss the shoot ahead of time and agree on a location and time of day.   Once the shoot begins I keep the pace fast and fun. I try to keep an open mind on all my photo shoots.  Hopefully every senior's photo session will be different than the next.  Every personality is different, every location is different and I want the photographs to reflect that.

PHOTOGRAPHER INFORMATION:  Most of the images were shot with my Nikon D4 with the Nikon 85MM F1.4.  The wide angle shots were done with my Fuji X100S.  I had with me a Nikon SB900 on a light stand that I used on some of the photos to give them a little pop.

Washington DC Metro Center Domination Campaign | Washington, DC Photographer

Strayer University is running a marketing campaign at the Washington, DC Metro Center train station.  For those of you who do not live in Washington, DC, the Metro Center station is the central hub station for the Metro subway system, and I would assume it is the largest and gets the most commuter traffic everyday.  The idea for the campaign is to "dominate" the station with advertisements which included two-sheet posters, large banner graphic over escalators, pillar wraps, platform runners, and floor graphics.  From what I could see, Strayer was the only company advertising in the entire station.  It seems like a great marketing strategy.

So they asked me to go down during late rush hour and take some photos with and without people.  I got a lot of strange looks from people as I was postioned high and low to get as many interesting angles of the campaign as I could.  It is perfectly legal to take photographs in a Metro station,  I only got stopped by security once for using a garbage can to help steady my camera.
